That’s life” is a story about Josip, a young man who had to come to Zagreb because of the war in Bosnia right after he had finished elementary school. In a new environment he has to fight to make ends meet and thus slowly gives up on his dreams. He starts working on a construction site where he meets Jozo. A latent conflict occurs on a working day’s lunch break, during which Jozo shrewdly takes Josip on a trip to his past. Even though he does not force Josip into accepting his solutions, he nevertheless anticipates his future.
